Following God’s pattern when it comes to marriage , has made our marriage journey to remain peaceful and enjoyable. We have learned that people have different views and opinions when it comes to what marriage is and how the couple should live within this institution . Some of their views are based on what they have personally experienced, some based on what they have seen or heard. We made a decision from day one that, when it comes to matters concerning marriage we will not look up to anyone but God trusting that it is Him who will teach us how to live this marriage life, how to treat each other and how to walk this journey. We are following God’s pattern, learning and understanding the purpose He had when He created marriage and said ” for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh”.
Marriage is beautiful , when the two who have entered it, both understand what marriage is, and both have agreed to put in 100% of commitment, communication and availability into making their marriage work and enjoyable. We are not perfect individuals, and we come from different backgrounds and upbringing. But God knew that we would be just right and perfect for each other. Us understand that, this journey is between the two of us and God has made us not to compare our marriage with other couples, because we understand that yes we might all be within this institution of marriage but our journey differs.
Thank you my love for making this marriage life so enjoyable. The wisdom that God has bestowed upon you is out of this world and yet to be seen. Our marriage has become a gift that I’m daily looking forward to unwrap and learn, because this is one institution where you never stop learning and to be taughted. Thank you for choosing to love me , continue to lead our family with the wisdom that God has given you and as your wife I will forever support you and the vision that God has given you and continue to submit to you all the days of our lives together.
